Governor Polis orders flags to half-staff for the 25th anniversary of 9/11

Governor Jared Polis orders flags to half-staff to honor the lives lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The observance also recognizes the first responders who rushed toward danger and the families and communities forever affected by the attacks.

Flags in Colorado are lowered from sunrise to sunset on Friday, September 11, 2026. The order applies statewide for that day.

The remembrance aligns with the national day of service associated with September 11 and reflects a continued commitment to unity, service, and honoring the 2,977 lives lost.
