Governor Tim Walz orders flags to half-staff for Patriot Day

Governor Tim Walz orders United States and Minnesota flags to fly at half-staff on Friday, September 11, 2026, in observance of Patriot Day and in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The proclamation marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks and recognizes the innocent lives lost, the first responders who acted with extraordinary bravery, and the enduring unity shown in their aftermath.
