Governor Beshear orders flags to half-staff for Overdose Awareness Day

Gov. Andy Beshear directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Monday, Aug. 31, in observance of Overdose Awareness Day in Kentucky.

The order is issued in the Governor’s public flag status notice and applies to state office buildings across the commonwealth. The source also says the Governor’s Mansion will be lit purple on Monday, the color designated to show support for overdose awareness.
